THE Kerala Government has initiated preliminary moves toward the reopening of the century-old Punalur Paper Mill which has been lying closed for over a decade now.
The Minister for Industries, Ms Suseela Gopalan, had recently held discussions with the representatives of Canara Bank, one of the creditors of the company, in the wake of a fresh proposal put up by Dalmias, the erstwhile promoters, for the reopening of the mill.
